Botanical Name:Larrea tridentata
Common Names: Creosote bush, chaparral, greasewood, gobernadora, hediondilla
Character: Aromatic, resinous, evergreen, desert-scented
Harvest: Wild, fresh, pesticide-free

The creosote bush is a desert shrub native to the Southwest U.S. and northern Mexico—one of the most dramatic plants of the American desert. I say dramatic, because how many other plants fill an entire region with such a strong aroma after it rains. This bush’s resinous evergreen leaves are what create the desert rain scent that the Southwest is known for. Also after the rain, bright yellow flowers bloom on all the creosotes as pictured. This aromatic bush has long been appreciated in traditional desert cultures.

Our chaparral is sustainably hand-harvested from select bushes on our land in the Sonoran Desert, Arizona.

Ingredients:
Wild-Harvested and naturally dried Creosote (Chaparral) leaves, stems, and flowers. Flowering is dependent on the season.
4 oz. to 1 lb. options.
(Creosote is a low density herb, very lightweight, so 1 lb. provides a large amount of material)

Use Ideas:
• Aromatherapy bundles for home fragrance
(Simply wet the leaves and you will get the beloved desert rain smell)
• Salve and balm making
• Oils and tinctures
• Space cleansing
